My name is Ash Bedford and I’m a Melbourne born and raised Personal Trainer with over 10 years experience. Currently operating at The Woodshed in Brighton East, I enjoy helping people in the local area move their bodies in ways that are safe, easy and effective for optimal health, fitness and wellbeing. Exercise is a powerful healer and when performed in a balanced way has the power to change your life for the better. My philosophy is to help clients master the basics and build the foundations for a lifetime of good health. Longevity, core strength, posture, flexibility and long-term sustainable weight loss are just some of the outcomes you can expect to see and feel from trusting me and my team with your personal training needs. We also specialise in pre, peri and post natal exercise, we have the ability to work with any injuries, communicating closely with your doctors, physio’s, chiro’s etc. and we offer FREE child minding Monday to Friday between 8:30am – 10:30am.
When I am not at work I enjoy getting outside and spending time with my family, I have a 3 year old boy Noah and a beautiful wife, Ellie. We enjoy having delicious and healthy, home cooked meals, seeking out Melbourne’s best cafe’s and exploring new parks and places. I also enjoy my surfing down the coast, practicing yoga and meditation, reading and anything that involves nature.
Qualifications:
Jack has been in the fitness industry for over 6 years. In that time he has accrued a wealth of knowledge, working with a variety of clients.
Jack approaches training holistically, meaning there is a method behind each and every exercise. Each person is an individual, and not everyones needs can be met with 1 program. Attention to detail and the ability to adapt are two of Jack’s main focuses in creating programs, delivering programs & helping clients achieve their goals.
Completing his university degree has allowed Jack to develop valuable knowledge of the human body and extrinsic factors in training. Having an in-depth understanding of human anatomy and physiology gives him the tools to practically apply knowledge to help you function better.
Outside of the gym, Jack enjoys spending time with family, playing basketball, being in the ocean and travelling.

Your 45-minute Break-Through session is just what you need to regain control over your fitness, health and well-being. In this session you will be given an opportunity to be heard. It’s your chance to let us know exactly how you feel and what you’d like to change.
This is a powerful place to start. From here we will introduce you to our studio, The Woodshed, and take you through a brief introductory workout so we can further assess your needs. Post session we will allow time to answer any questions that you may have and provide our recommendations about training going forward. Keeping in mind your schedule, budget and current fitness levels.
